Filter and see only what you love
We have some pretty exciting news for you this week!
A few months ago we sent out a questionnaire to all of you guys asking you which features you would like for us to work on. On of the clear winners was better filtering. Your wish is our command.
Simple to use and simple to skip
Today we are taking a small step towards a better local discover experience. We are introducing a high level filtering directly in your local feed. Easy to scroll past for those of you who just want to see everything but also easy for all you guys who want to dive into specific categories.
Are you more into home decor than female fashion? Find the category below the city cover, tap it and your local feed is only showing stuff for your home.
We hope you like it and that you will give it a try. We are very interested in your thoughts about this new filter functionality. Please comment on this blogpost or contact us in the "feedback"-section in the app and tell us how it feels.

Since the beginning of Tradono we have had a vision of creating a fun and explorative experience of discovery similar to what you have in an offline flea market. Tradono is not just about finding what you are looking for. It is also about being entertained or inspired. The excitement and joy you feel when you suddenly come across something special — a thing you did not know you wanted or simply a great bargain. This is why thousands of you check out whats new in your neighborhood each day.
Now, filtering can be a lot of things. The worst thing we can do is to bother all of you who like to just browse everything nearby. But we can also see that for example showing a lot of female fashion for male users or people interested in different stuff like home decor or bikes is a bad experience. Therefore we wanted to give each user a way around the interface without interrupting each others journey: A) scroll down and see everything as always; B) Do a very high level filtering to see stuff that are more specific; C) Spend more time to filter and find exactly that pair of pants you fit and like; D) Search for brands, specific items and users.
We will continue to work on filtering. When we get more feedback and learn much more about what it does to your everyday use and to the marketplace as a whole.
Next up: an easier way of listing an item...
